Sec 103 English Project – Anne Frank Authentic Transfer Task (GRASPS) GOAL Your task is to set up on ‘Anne Frank’ section. You may choose one of the following: Anne Frank first home The Secret Annex Concentration Camp/ Gas Chamber ROLE You are the curator of the museum. You want the visitors to have a first hand experience of the historical and social circumstances during Anne Frank’s period. Thus, you assume the role of one of the characters listed below: Anne Frank Otto Frank (dad) Margaret (her sister) Edith Frank (mum) German soldier Miep Gies ( The lady who hid the Frank family in the secret annex. Peter ( boy friend) Traitor Authentic Transfer Task (GRASPS) PRODUCT You will set up the section in the library based on the following guidelines. The exhibits should reflect the lifestyle and culture of the era. You are given these materials to work with: a) 1 table b) 3 chairs c) 1 flip chart You may use other items but they should be recycled items or things that you can find at home You may include pictures to make your display more interesting Your display should also include the diary entries that you did earlier in class. STAND’DS Your work will be judged by your teachers based on Purpose Audience Context Culture Keep a File: Description of the place – write and draw (use 5 senses) Tour Guide – description of character – write and draw character Recount of a significant incident - write Oral script for the Tour Guide – what he/she going to say Due date: 31 March (Mon) Presentation : 1st week of April – should be ready |
